The Upstate of South Carolina is the Westernmost Part of the State. It can mostly be defined as the northwest part of the I-85 Corridor where most of area’s Commercial Activity takes place! The Counties of the Upstate include: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union.
The region’s estimated population was 1,409,582 and growing as of 2014. Since it’s initial investment in the 1990s BMW has attracted many industrial alliances as well as ignited commercial/industrial growth in the area. GSP International Airport and the South Carolina Inland Port have attracted many industries and investors to come and take part of a growing economy.
